The deadline for opting in to printed passes is January 17, 2025. Any passes allocated after this date will be strictly digital-only.
In the 2021 Artist Survey, artists were asked if they would support the change from Printed Artist Passes to Digital Artist Passes in 2022 and beyond 72% of respondents supported the change and so, in an effort to become more sustainable and streamline the Artist Pass process Adelaide Fringe will begin to transition to Digital Artist and Venue Passes in 2022.
In 2025 Adelaide Fringe will still print Artist and Venue Passes that have been supplied in AVR by the deadline of 17th Jan 2025. Passes will be allocated by the registering presenter in AVR in the Participants tab with names and email. The presenter will be able to choose either a printed or digital pass.
All registered artists are entitled to an artist pass, this allows you to access FringeWORKS, including all facilities and services delivered by the FringeWORKS team as well as our extensive program of professional development talks, workshops, panels etc. and exclusive artist only discounts at many outlets across the city. These passes will be available for collection from the Artist & Venue Team at FringeWORKS ONLY at specific times throughout the festival (times and location will be provided closer to the festival).
In order to receive an artist pass, all artists must be added to each event in the PARTICIPANTS section of AVR by the event presenter. To do this, first login to AVR and select the relevant event to open the drop down options. Then select PARTICIPANTS and click Edit Participants, and then + Add Person to <Name of Event>. Once you've created a person or added them to your event (if they already have an AVR account) and check the box to give them an artist pass.
There is a max of 10 passes per event. We encourage you to respect the privilege of artist passes - please only add relevant artists that are working on your event.
Be aware that artists will receive one artist pass per person, event if they are involved in multiple events.
Please input the artist's legal name as these passes are used as identification, and may be checked against Photo ID. If you'd like a stage name included, please add it in brackets following the surname, e.g. Jason Marsiglia (DJ FRANFINE).
A unique email address is also required for each artist. This is so we can keep them updated on all the opportunities available for artists to engage with.
It is a privilege to receive an Artist Pass, not a right. Any abuse of your Artist/Venue Pass or any venue or Adelaide Fringe staff will result in the cancellation and confiscation of your pass. Treat all Adelaide Fringe artists and staff with respect.
All participants must be submitted by Wednesday 17 January, 2025. FringeWORKS will NOT issue any blank passes, all names must be provided in AVR. Any passes allocated for individuals after the 17th Jan 2025 will automatically become Digital Passes. More information on how to access a Digital Pass will be provided in the coming weeks, make sure you read the Artist & Venue E-News to keep up to date.
Adelaide Fringe Passes, Garden Passes and Gluttony Passes are all different and you will need to collect venue specific passes directly from the venue. Please note that The Garden of Unearthly Delights policy is that only Garden Passholders can attend shows on a pass in their venue.
