There are a number of options available for the hire of the town hall, the options and cost will be determined by the nature of the event and facilities required.

• “Private” hire generally refers to events/functions that are not open to the public, such as birthdays or organisational events. 

• “Community” hire is for events/functions that are open to the public to attend, regardless of whether there is an admission fee or not. These events will also require Council to have a copy of Public Liability or indemnity insurance. 

• “Casual Hire” is for events/functions that only take place once or twice and are not repeated regularly. 

• “Seasonal Hire” refers to repeated events that take place on set times and days.

Stage lighting, sound and presentation facilities 

The Tailem Bend Town hall has basic controls for lighting, sound and projection using a laptop. This will be sufficient for the majority of events to be held in the hall. It is recommended that if you are going to use these facilities for your event that you inspect these and make yourself familiar with them prior to the event. Familiarisation and inspection of the facility prior to the event is only available during business hours. For large scale productions the Tailem Bend Rotary Club may be able to assist and it is up to the hirer to contact them via email (tailembend@rotaryclub.org.au) at least two (2) weeks prior to the event to make the necessary arrangements. Please note a fee may be payable for there services and this is at the discretion of the Rotary Club.

Rehearsals 

Rehearsals for events and functions need to be booked with Council and will incur a separate fee per rehearsal.

Linen/Kitchen Utensils 

The Town Hall does not have any tea towels, detergent, pots, pans, chopping boards and cooking utensils and it is the responsibility of the hirer to supply their own if they require these.
