What is FringeWORKS?

  • Grab a free lunch on Wednesdays!

In 2025 we will be located at ILA, in Light Square! Your office away from home, FringeWORKS is a place where we are all together: Honeypot, A&V, and any artist who needs to space to work or connect.

You can come anytime during our opening hours to get some sh*t done. There’ll be computers, Wi-Fi, a printer, a laminator, a guillotine, quiet spaces and our lovely faces!

FringeWORKS at ILA Launch Party

Join us for the opening launch party Thurs 20 Feb from 3-4:30pm, and pick up your artist pass while you're there!

What is ILA?

ILA, or Immersive Light and Art, is a Not-For-Profit Social Enterprise and Venue dedicated to supporting the arts, the immersive arts in particular. Their goal is to empower artists and strengthen their community.

Like magnets, they bring people together to tell, share and experience stories, creating a community that empowers artists and strengthens the cultural fabric of our communities. Their multifaceted institution is home to a number of unique spaces hidden behind our 150 year old heritage façade.

A free lunch for participating Artists. Different activities each week.

Professional Development

FringePOD

FringePOD is our podcast interview series (released every second month). We talk to artists, producers and venue managers from around the world about their journey, and what advice they would give to artists at all stages of their careers. Listen to past episodes.

We will be filming a panel on Tuesdays from 11am-12pm each week on during Adelaide Fringe 2025 at FringeWORKS with a live audience.

Accessibility with Access2Arts
A Disability-led Artists panel discussion about putting on a Fringe show and being artists with a lived experience of disability.

FringeCHAT

In-person or online workshops that give you direct access to the people you need, when you need them, throughout the year and during Fringe.

We will be hosting FringeCHATS Thursdays from 11am-12pm from weeks 1-3 during Adelaide Fringe 2025 at FringeWORKS. RSVPs are required to attend.

Intro to Auslan with Deaf Connect

Adelaide Fringe partner Deaf Connect are coming to FringeWORKS for a fun and inclusive "Intro to Auslan" session. Learn basic Australian Sign Language (Auslan) with experienced instructors, fostering communication and connection in an engaging and supportive environment.

  • FringeWORKS is located on the third floor of ILA at 63 Light Square, Adelaide SA 5000.

  • The nearest bus stop is Stop C1 Currie Street. 

  • The entrance is wheelchair accessible via a ramp and elevator. 

  • There is one designated wheelchair accessible car parking space located directly out the front of the venue on Light Square. 

  • There is an accessible drop-off point in close proximity to the venue entrance. 

  • There are designated wheelchair accessible unisex toilets available. 

  • Assistance animals welcome. 

  • A portable hearing loop will be available upon request.
