Delegate Finder is currently closed and will be available from late-January, to research industry professionals.
Adelaide Fringe is proud to host a diverse group of industry delegates, reflecting the richness of our program. In 2025, we welcomed 403 delegates from 37 countries, including festival directors, programmers, producers, and agencies, all looking to discover new shows and talent. As a registered Honey Pot Artist, this resource will guide you on how to connect with these key industry professionals.

The Delegate Finder
The Delegate Finder is your essential research tool, becoming available in late-January (approximately four weeks before Fringe kicks off). This online platform uses the AVR search functions to provide you with the most current and extensive delegate listings. You can search for delegates using various criteria such as their organisation, country, and the dates they'll be attending. You can also create a 'favourites' list to help you select who to approach.
How to Approach Delegates
Details for all registered Honey Pot Industry Delegates can be found on the Delegate Finder. Listings are organised by country and typically include the delegate's name, position, company, contact details, and, most importantly, their dates in Adelaide (if they're attending in-person). Each entry also provides a brief biography outlining who they are, what they program, or who they aim to work with, as well as the types of shows they are interested in connecting with. This information is crucial for your research before making contact.
Research & Preparation
We cannot stress this enough – research and prepare your outreach! Whether you're inviting them to your show, requesting a meeting, or promoting your work for future opportunities, read each delegate's information carefully. Do your research, make notes, and organise your findings. Work out which delegates are truly compatible with your show. The Delegate Finder will be online in late-January, giving you plenty of time to familiarise yourself with each delegate before contacting them.
- Once you've identified potential contacts, carefully prepare your introduction emails. Tailor your approach – a generic, one-size-fits-all email is rarely effective.
- Instead, demonstrate your familiarity with their venue, organisation, or show, and explain why your show is a good fit for them.
- Targeting a few good matches is more effective than emailing everyone. You're far more likely to get a response from an email that genuinely speaks to the delegate and sparks their interest. Be passionate about your work – it's infectious! And communicate its value – you know its worth, but does the delegate?
- Most importantly, don't get disheartened if responses are limited. This is often just the start of a dialogue, and there are many other ways to engage through the industry program.
When to Contact Delegates
Delegates typically begin planning for Adelaide Fringe a couple of weeks before their arrival. Since show tickets can be booked in advance, the ideal time to initiate communication is in early February. Delegate schedules can fill up quickly, so it's always best to reach out sooner rather than later.
Summary
- Use the Delegate Finder, available from late-January, to research industry professionals.
- Thoroughly research each delegate and tailor your outreach based on their specific interests and programming needs.
- Craft personalised emails that demonstrate why your show is a great fit for them.
- Aim to contact delegates in early February, as their schedules fill up quickly.
