What is Honey Pot?
Honey Pot is the Adelaide Fringe’s International Arts Marketplace. It’s a dedicated matchmaking service designed to connect artists with industry professionals, such as presenters and programmers, who are looking to discover and book new shows. This service is provided free of charge to both artists and industry delegates.
Running throughout the duration of the Adelaide Fringe, Honey Pot brings together hundreds of industry delegates from around the world, both in person and virtually. These delegates come to meet artists, experience innovative new works, and forge valuable connections. Honey Pot also curates an industry-specific program of networking and pitching shows designed to stimulate future programming and presentations for your shows.
How Do I Get Involved?
Registration via AVR
Industry Delegate registrations for the festival will open at the end of July 2025 and will remain open throughout Fringe. You can complete your registration via AVR. Simply head to your profile, select Honey Pot Delegate, and complete the two-page registration form.
Anyone interested in connecting with Fringe artists and offering them onward opportunities – whether that’s programming work or collaborating on future projects – is considered a delegate. The registration form asks for key information used by both artists and the Honey Pot team to tailor your participation and maximise your experience.
In Person & Virtual Participation
Honey Pot offers two types of delegate registrations to provide flexibility:
- In Person: For those who can travel to Adelaide and participate physically.
- Virtual: For those who prefer to take part online.
Delegate and show listings/contacts are hosted online, making connections possible no matter where you are. If your participation status changes, the team can easily switch your registration type; just let them know.
Honey Pot Support
Hotel Support
Our hotel partners are Crowne Plaza Adelaide, & Hotel Indigo conveniently located in the heart of the East End and by the central markets - right on the Fringe’s doorsteps. Honey Pot has an allocation of room nights available for delegates traveling to Adelaide for Honey Pot. Requests for support are lodged during registration and are limited, so ensure you submit your request by 19 December 2025.
Matchmaking - Suggested Show Lists
With hundreds of shows presented each year at Adelaide Fringe, and approximately a third registered for Honey Pot, navigating the options can be daunting. Our team is here to help! We’ll review your delegate information, your stated interests, your practice background, and your dates of attendance to create a tailored suggested show list. It’s a great starting point, but you can also call us anytime for a chat.
Ticketing
All registered Honey Pot shows provide up to 30 complimentary tickets across their season for Honey Pot delegates to use. You can use the Show Finder to select shows and book tickets directly from the show listing pages. Complimentary Honey Pot ticketing will be available from December.
Given the limited number of tickets available across a wide range of delegates, we recommend booking the shows you absolutely want to see sooner rather than later. Alternatively, consider purchasing a ticket to directly support the artist!
Marketplace Support/Drop-Ins
If you want to discuss shows, find out who’s in town, or get recommendations for things to do, feel free to drop by the office or schedule a catch-up with us. During Fringe, our three-person marketplace team is on hand and can even point you to the best coffee shops!
What is Available to Me?
Show Finder
The Show Finder is a comprehensive directory listing all registered Honey Pot shows. Artists detail their programming, touring, and contact information, as well as unique selling points, special considerations, and opportunities they are seeking. This provides delegates with a complete overview of an artist’s show and their creative rationale. You can create favourite lists and tailor your searches to identify suitable shows to see and meetings to arrange. The Show Finder will launch for the season on December.
Delegate Finder
The Delegate Finder is an industry directory of all participating delegates. It includes contact information, bios, programming interests, and details on who they wish to meet and the types of work they are seeking. You can filter searches and create tailored wish lists. Artists use the Delegate Finder to invite industry professionals to their shows, arrange meetings, and provide further information about their work. The Delegate Finder will launch with Delegates in January and will remain open until the end of May, allowing for continued connectivity during and after Fringe.

HIVE
HIVE is Honey Pot's flagship show, held every Thursday of Adelaide Fringe at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Delegates host a table and engage in short, rotating meetings over 90 minutes with Honey Pot artists who have ready-to-program and tourable shows. It’s an excellent opportunity to discover new works through informal, pressure-free conversations and leave feeling inspired.
HIVE Zone
HIVE Zone lists details of each of the HIVE locations and collates all RSVPs from both Delegates and Artists. HIVE Zone opens for the first HIVE a week before the show takes place. Artists and Delegates can confirm their attendance at any of the four HIVEs one week prior to each. All confirmed RSVPs link back to either the industry delegate's profile or the artist's show in the Show Finder, allowing both parties to research who will be present and who to connect with.
Honey Pot Connects
Honey Pot schedules weekly informal networking gatherings that bring industry and artists together for a quick hello and check-in. In the lead-up to HIVE, we invite artists and delegates to mingle and network over a beverage. These informal gatherings allow attending industry to meet artists, chat about their work, and gather inspiration for the weekend ahead. We’ll also connect you with interesting affiliated organisations or shows to expand your networks across Australia and globally.
Networking Opportunities & Brunches
Connecting with other industry delegates in Honey Pot can lead to new friendships, alliances, and collaborations. It can also result in valuable recommendations. Share "must-see" shows or hear what others have been seeing at our weekly industry brunches.
