Rhino Room is our flagship performance space and the heart of Adelaide Comedy. With a 150-seat capacity, full stage, professional sound and lighting, dedicated bar and a long history of hosting some of Australia’s best-known comedians, it offers the classic Rhino Room comedy experience.

The room combines the energy of a larger audience with the intimacy that makes stand-up work. Its red-curtained stage, low ceilings, disco balls and distinctive character create a warm, lively atmosphere where performers remain close to the crowd.

Rhino Room is a dedicated comedy venue all year round, hosting regular Adelaide Comedy shows, touring comedians, emerging performers and special events throughout the year.

During Adelaide Fringe, the Rhino Room hosts multiple performances each night and becomes one of the venue’s major gathering points for audiences and artists. It is also home to the legendary Rhino Room Late Show, established in 2000, is the longest running show at the Fringe.

Ideal for established performers, touring acts and shows expecting stronger audiences, the 150-seat Rhino Room gives artists the opportunity to play a substantial Fringe room while still feeling connected to every person in the audience.
