About this space
The Mercury is a traditional cinema space, that can and has been utilised as a performance venue over the years. The seating is on a sharp rake so the sightlines are good. There is a carpeted, raised stage which is approximately 8m x 2.5m, which can be used in consideration of preservation the cinema screen. Beyond that, there is a larger area which is not raised, below the stage, which could also be used for performance. This area is approximately 8m x 4m (in addition to the 8 x 2.5 raised area). The screen can be used in negotiation with the venue.
