The Mezzanine space is the Bowden Fringe's original space and is best suited to small bands (max 4 piece), cabaret and comedy. However we will try to accommodate most EOIs if we know of their tech requirements early.

The space has a capacity of 130 with small square and round cabaret tables and a few high bar tables. We will not be increasing the capacity for this space in 2026 as we wish to make it comfortable for those with access needs. This space feels very intimate despite allowing for 130 guests to be seated. A room partition can also create a smaller space if required and deemed necessary by the artist. 

We employ excellent technical support for this space which includes a stage with draping, some front light, PA system w monitors, mics, stands and provisions for a small band. We also provide a LED TV screen. 

This is a beautiful and flexible space and we would love to hear from interested artists as to how they would like to use it.
