About AVR

The Adelaide Fringe's AVR platform is far more than a simple registration portal for your show or venue. It serves as a comprehensive hub, specifically designed to provide Adelaide Fringe participants with a broad spectrum of invaluable resources.

AVR Beta Version

We've been building a new version of AVR behind the scenes for a while now, shaped by your feedback, and it's finally ready for you to explore! A refreshed look, better performance, and a more intuitive registration process.

What does beta mean? Beta simply means we're still fine-tuning things. We're still listening, still tweaking, still making it better as we go. The platform is ready for you to use, properly, but we'll keep polishing it over time, making sure it gives you the best experience and meets all your needs. Rest assured, your information is safe and secure.

Key New Features

  1. Data Import for Venues

If you've registered with us before, you're not starting from scratch. AVR can bring your old details across, so instead of retyping everything, just review it and check that everything it's still right.

Follow these steps to import your data:

  • Create an account on AVR using the same email address you've registered with before.
  • Before you go anywhere else, AVR will offer to pull in your old data. Take a look and see what it found.
  • Choose which venues and spaces to import.
  • Confirm and that's it! Your venue(s) will be imported and visible in your Venues dashboard. You will have to go through the checklist to review all your venue and space information, and answer any extra questions to be ready for spaces to join with you. and ready for you to check over and finish registering.
  • Not the right moment? You can skip for now. The import message bar will keep showing at the top until you're ready.

Would you rather start clean? No problem! You can build your venue from scratch and the import will stay available in case you change your mind.

Please note, this is a one time import. You will not be able to import your venue data after the 2027 season. When in doubt, import!

  1. A clear Checklist

Your registration comes with a checklist right from the start, so you always know exactly what's left to do.

How it works:

  • Open your registration and you'll find the checklist on the Summary tab.
  • Each step is one thing to do, with its own status.
  • Can't start a step yet? It'll stay on the list and tell you what you need to provide or complete first.
  • Work down the list or switch on "Show to-dos first" to group everything into In progress, To do and Completed. Either way, your progress updates as you go.
  • Once every step is checked off, your registration is complete.
  1. Autosave

Do your registration in whatever order works for you. You can start with what you have, skip what you haven't got yet, and come back to it later. Got the marketing copy ready but not the images yet? Do the copy now and leave the images for next week. There's no right order, just chip away at it bit by bit.

Your answers save themselves, a moment after you stop typing. Close the tab, run out of battery, or pick it back up on your phone on the bus, and everything is exactly where you left it.

A few steps do need something else to happen first, like one that only opens up once your payment's gone through. You'll see that noted right on the step itself.

  1. Inbox

Your Inbox lives in the main menu, right below Home. Anything you need to know shows up there, newest on top, and it appears while you're already on the page, you don't even need to refresh.

Some messages are just news and they settle down once you've read them. Others need something from you, and those sit at the top under "Action required". Reading it won't clear it. It stays until the job is actually done, then it clears itself.

It's your one-stop spot for resources, guides and blogs to help you register and make the most of the season.

Support Hub

Within AVR, you'll discover a wealth of information crucial for a successful Fringe experience. It's your primary destination for insights into effective marketing strategies, efficient ticketing management, impactful publicity campaigns, and a host of other practical details. Additionally, this is where you can access vital documents, including the official Advertising Kit and the Logo & Branding Kit, which are indispensable for promoting your show. The Support Hub is broken up into stages of your year round fringe participation.

Reporting an Issue

Tell us while it's fresh!

If you come across something that isn't right, we want to hear about it. We've built a feedback tool called BugPin into AVR so you can tell us as you find it.

Look for the blue button with a bug icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. It's on every page. Click it, fill in the form, submit.

It's headed "Report a Bug", but use it for anything: something broken, something confusing, wording that isn't clear, or a step that could be smoother. The first question lets you say which.

The most useful reports tell us what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you expected instead. Mention if it stopped you from carrying on. Screenshots help and the screenshots tab will take one for you.

If something stops you from getting your registration finished, don't wait on the form. Contact the Artists and Venues Team at artists@adelaidefringe.com.au, venues@adelaidefringe.com.au or on 08 8100 2022.
