About this space
The Basement at Brougham Place (The Place) has all the features of a heritage space - thick walls, lighting from casement windows, high ceilings, and... yes... evidence of years of a community gathering for music and conversation. It's a bit grungy - perfect for intimate performances for smaller audiences who like to be close and to participate. Amplification may not be needed but can be provided. It can be lit with candlelight or fairly lights, and set up in rows or around small occasional tables. There is a good upright piano in the main space.
