About this space
The basement is a typical basement in an old building. It's intimate (although recently 90 people attended a jazz performance, but t was cosy) and can be set up with small tables for an informal performance setting. There is a modern upright piano in the main basement area. Amplification is effective as needed. The space is mostly carpeted, with some with vinyl flooring for "wet" use if that is needed. In the daytime, light comes in via traditional windows - very thick window-sills. Can be quite atmospheric. There is a separate room (called the Leaver Lounge) with an upright piano. A kitchen is attached. If you're thinking of booking this space, it has lots of potential, but we'd need to show you around. The space also has some availability restrictions.
