Honey Pot Benefits for Artists

While FringeWORKS and Honey Pot host many information sessions and development panels open to all artists year-round, opting into the Honey Pot program once show registrations open provides you with exclusive access to special events. These tailored sessions are designed to upskill you in the lead-up to and during your Fringe season.

Passion Pitch

Virtual Pitching Opportunity

Passion Pitch is your chance to virtually pitch your work to Honey Pot delegates. Think of it as a pre-recorded, 90-second elevator pitch. As a Honey Pot artist, you can provide a video pitching your show, which will be compiled into genre-specific videos and housed on the Honey Pot landing page on AVR for delegates to review before and during the festival. This is a fantastic way to get your show in front of key industry professionals.

Submissions for Passion Pitch will open from November 2025 and close in January 2026.

Producer Support Group

In-Person Peer Support

Producing a show can be an isolating experience, and fostering peer connections is crucial for learning and growth. These in-person sessions bring together a collective group of emerging to mid-level producers to support each other in building capacity and confidence. Designed as a safe space to ask questions and share advice, each session is steered by an experienced producer who guides the group through discussions and learnings.

In the lead-up to the HIVE, we invite artists and delegates to come together, chat, and network over a beverage. These informal gatherings allow attending industry to meet artists, discuss their work, and gather inspiration for the weekend ahead. We'll also connect you with interesting affiliated organisations or events, extending your networks throughout Australia and the world.

HIVE

Speed-Dating for Artists

The HIVE is essentially speed-dating for artists! Honey Pot artists are invited to take part in this exciting event, held each Thursday of the festival (New to day for 2026!). You'll engage in short, rotating conversations with visiting industry delegates, such as programmers and presenters from all over. It's a prime opportunity to introduce yourself, make new acquaintances, learn more about each other, and potentially open doors to future opportunities!
